Week 3 NITKKR POL355: International Relations NITKKR Week 3 Need help with two DQ’s due by 14th May 2014 Introduction The focus of Week Two is geopolitics, globalization, and international power. It is no question that globalization has had a huge impact on the international environment. This impact ranges from social to technological to political.

In your discussion posts this week, you will be debating whether or not globalization has had a positive impact in the world and whether or not geopolitics is still important in today’s rapidly evolving international environment. You will also be revisiting the same Alternate World that you discussed in Week One to compose a case study. In the case study, you will analyze potential threats to national interests, and how states could respond to those threats and challenges in this plausible scenario using various elements of national and international power. DQ 1Diplomacy and Globalization Before you begin, you will want to complete the Quick Review Questions for Chapter 7. These activities are designed to ensure that you have a solid understanding of the key concepts. You can access the Quick Review Questions through the Multimedia Library link in the left-hand navigation menu, in your online classroom. Make sure to draw on what you learned from the simulation and the required readings, as well as from current events.

Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length. Support your claims with examples from the required material(s) and/or other scholarly resources, and properly cite any references. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts that have identified a different trend than you by Day 7.
