Everyone seems to know what leadership is but few people can define it. In this course, leadership is ‘Setting the appropriate direction for the organization and then getting people to do what’s needed for success’. You need to become familiar with a variety of definitions so that you can customize your own leadership framework.

Task Description

Go to the Internet and find four different definitions of leadership, preferably those stated by well-known leaders. Find two that you basically agree with and two that you do not.

Discuss your definitions. What do they have in common and what are the differences. Is it important that you and your colleagues agree on the same definition? Why or why not?
